I went on to teach swimming lessons, lifeguard and I even coached gymnastics for almost ten years before going to university. Through university I continued to teach both swimming and gymnastics and to lifeguard. I worked both privately and later as the director and creator of the swim program at Standstead College. Swimming has always been an important part of my life and I have always loved working with children.

I stopped teaching near the end of university, and began writing policy for the Canadian Government.  I then had the wonderful opportunity to travel the world with my husband who works abroad and had my two wonderful children during our travels. 

I had the time and opportunity to get back to teaching in 2014 in Los Angeles and in 2018 was voted the best swim school in Beverly Hills on Yelp. The program you will find at Swim to Safety is like no other. It is a combination of my years of experience and expertise, trial and error, and is constantly being revised and improved to ensure that you have then absolute best for your children just as I want for mine.

 

As of 2019 we are back in Canada and I am so excited to bring my program back home to where it all started for me.
